Trip Summary
Explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve on a 7-days, 6-nights wildlife photography safari in Kenya, discovering its vast savannahs, incredible biodiversity, and iconic African wildlife. Travelling during the low season offers a quieter safari experience, with fewer crowds and more opportunities to enjoy wildlife encounters at your own pace.
For all 06 nights, we will stay at Serenity Mara Legends Camp, a riverside retreat nestled along the Olare Orok River. With comfortable tented accommodation and the sights and sounds of the African wilderness around you, it offers a peaceful place to unwind between days in the field.
Our focus is on patient, ethical wildlife photography observing animal behaviour, tracking big cats, and working with natural light to capture meaningful moments and compelling compositions. Rather than rushing between sightings, we take our time to create unique photographic opportunities, guided by our philosophy: animals first, photographs second.
Overview
We use specially modified 4×4 Land Cruisers equipped with camera beanbags, charging sockets, and a cooler box with water and refreshments. Each vehicle accommodates a maximum of four guests, ensuring plenty of space for comfortable wildlife photography.
Imash and Nadz will rotate daily between vehicles, joining our guides at the front to share their photography knowledge and experience.
We work with a carefully selected team of experienced guides who understand the needs of wildlife photographers. Their knowledge of animal behavior, positioning, and local wildlife helps us make the most of every sighting while always respecting the animals and their natural environment.
Meet Your Guides
Imash & Nadz
Your safari will be hosted by Imash and Nadz; a wildlife photographer and videographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. With years of experience exploring Africa and Asia, they bring a deep respect for nature and a strong understanding of wildlife behavior and ecosystems. Their approach goes beyond sightings, focusing on responsible, ethical, and meaningful encounters with the wild. Throughout your journey, they will share insights into the landscapes, conservation, and moments that make each safari truly memorable.
26th March : Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at JKIA, you will be met by our team and transferred for your scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara. On arrival, meet your safari guide and transfer to Serenity Mara Legends Camp. After settling in, head out for your evening game drive, beginning your wildlife photography adventure as you explore the Mara’s incredible wildlife and landscapes.
27th - 31st March : Maasai Mara National Reserve
Spend five full days exploring the Maasai Mara through morning and evening game drives, with a focus on wildlife photography and meaningful encounters. Travelling during the low season allows us to experience the reserve with fewer crowds and enjoy sightings at a more relaxed pace. With time dedicated to observing animal behaviour, tracking big cats, and working with changing light, we aim to capture authentic wildlife moments while exploring the Mara’s diverse landscapes and incredible biodiversity.
01st April : Nairobi
After a short morning photography session and breakfast at Shompole, we begin our journey back to Nairobi. Rest of the this day is reserved to relax and recover. You can review images, clean gear, or simply enjoy being still. Safari is not only about movement — it is also about allowing space to pause and reset before the next chapter.
